I adored the 4AD artworks, all of them
but they became more important then their acts after a while
and the idea that none of their bands or artists were ever on the cover of their own albums is just too much.

Oh, the Budd cover is gorgeous. I was talking about the more Sylvian-centric Samadhisound releases.

My favorite is Gone to Earth - SBS is a close second.

I like the painting on the cover of Blemish, the style of it, and the shopping cart in the snow artwork too. I don't think the cover looks much like David though. And I've always wondered about the two-tone hair in the painting - one side of his head is blond, the other a light brunette - is there some symbolism behind that?
