Haha me too! :)
I hear them breathing
They know what I have done, all that I've been through
I tell them secrets
And who's to say it isn't so?

I'm so enjoying this period of David's work... ...remember the years of waiting for 'Dead Bees' to come out, it seemed then that we might have the full canon of David's work already, so long was the wait. Now we have Died in the Wool, the Punkt experience with Plight & Premonition and the installation, and now a new tour to anticipate. Great times.

Yeah, remember when the first songs for Dead Bees got pilfered, eventually ending up on Ebay in 1999? That was a time of high bandwidth on the Syl front. I too love the action at the moment. Punkt was incredible; I got to chat with David (on two occasions), as well as fourteen other of the performing musicians and poets, and they all signed my tour book with humble gratitude. If David doesn't come to you, go to him. It's worth it. With the work with Dai, previous and yet to be released, Manafon, Sleepwalkers and Died In The Wool, with a couple older pieces thrown in, I can see the fabric quite easily.

Interesting comment on David's site:

Some may have christened the project 'The Implausible Tour', as David has become increasingly reclusive and private in most aspects of his life and the notion of live performance seemingly anathema to him. However, recently, he has found a line-up of musicians with whom he's genuinely excited to perform live and to whom he's most grateful for their commitment.

More information on the musicians involved in this series of performances along with a personal message from David will follow in due course at his various websites and other online outlets.

My guess is that must mean Bang / Honore, possibly Fennesz and surely some of the EAI gentlemen - Tilbury, Parker? Punkt was probably a form of testing ground.

This is really exciting. No plodding - unhappily - through the old stuff, but adventurous material with some amazing players.

Dai Fujikura was asked on Twitter whether he would be working on David's tour.

He said that a lot of people had been asking him that question! Followed by, "i might pop into 1 of the concert, or help instrumental arrangement for him. though i will be in Korea for my concert then."

So it doesn't sound as if the ICE theory is correct, although if there is arranging to be done it might suggest that some of the DITW pieces are being lined up for a different group of players? If I had to bet, I'd still be going for Bang, Honore & co.

As pinenut says, drums seem unlikely. And it might be sacrilegious but I'd actually prefer Martin Brandlmayr to Steve (gulp...). Steve is an incredible drummer but I still can't get over him playing Ghosts-in-a-lounge-lizard-style drums back in 2007.
