Yet another re-release....jeez. Don't EMI realize that all the fans already have these CDs??

What is point?

I don't know, javier, seems like if one more person can stumble across those albums of his without ever actually having heard them before, then it is totally worth it - 'intangible and incalcuable' as DS once put it.

Every Sylvian fan remembers the first time they really listened to his music for the first time!

I'm surprised Virgin don't sell more CDs by releasing a straightforward singles compilation that might appeal to the general buyer including all the "hits" in their radio edit forms, plus the few b-sides that are only on vinyl or deleted CD singles.

Forbidden Colours (original version, but the Virgin '84 recording is now out of print so that would be equally welcome)
Red Guitar (7")
Blue Of Noon
The Ink In The Well
Weathered Wall (instrumental)
Pulling Punches (7")
Taking The Veil (radio edit from DJ 7")
Silver Moon
Buoy (radio edit)
Let The Happiness In (radio edit)
Orpheus
Heartbeat (Tanai Kaiki II) (radio edit)
Jean The Birdman
Earthbound (Starblind)
Endgame
Darshan (Grid remix radio version)
I Surrender (radio edit)
Godman
Taking The Veil (Mendelsohn Mix)
