Sleepwalkers

This sounds interesting from Samadisound

David recently completed work on a compilation cd featuring some of the best of his collaborative work of the last decade or so. Entitled 'Sleepwalkers' it contains fresh remixes and a new composition with classical composer Dai Fujikura. Again, more information on this release very shortly.

Yeah, good to have all the collabs on a disc; with hopefully a second disc with the Fujikara thingy which might (read: ought to) be recent that installation piece...

Sounds promising. I hope it includes the Blond Redhead, Fennesz, Readymade, and Punkt stuff. I still haven't heard half of the collaborations he has done in the past decade.

Nice. I've been hoping to see all of the collaborations in one place, but I'll settle for a chunk of them.

Around the time of Manafon's release, I bought the vast majority of the original albums that feature a Sylvian collaboration track and the results were excellent. I ended up putting quite a few of them back on Amazon marketplace after I'd heard/ripped the Sylvian track, hoping to see a compilation eventually. Oddly enough one of the CDs I sold on there was bought by a certain 'Jan Bang' of Norway! Looks like I sold a Sylvian collaboration CD to a Sylvian collaborator!

Given the relative quiet from samadhi over the past 6 months i am kind of surprised with the onslaught of material being released over the coming period, delighted of course but of all the releases it's the Jan Bang offering that i am looking forward to most.

Agreed. I just preordered the Jan Bang cd cos of the samples on the page. I will probably get the others also, but the stellar cast on the Bang cd is a must have. Jon Hassell and Arve H. Wow.

i did a similar thing to you ,downloading singular tracks or getting hold of the stuff any way i could , i created a playlist of non album tracks by David, including collabaration and solo stuff, Exit/Delete, messenger ,playground martyrs ect.
It will be interesting to see what tracks are on this album ,in terms of what new turns up.

Besides the Fujikura track, I'm hoping against hope for "Wasn't I Joe."

Extremely disappointing song choice. So many of these tracks are already available on other Samadhisound releases. It's almost like a Samadhi sampler - it should've contained

Messenger
Linoleum
Wasn't I Joe?

AND why is Trauma on there? Not exactly a collaboration was it?
