Now that is some weird synchronicity! I came across this footage on You tube and thought - hey this is proper professional recording of the live show - I'd love to get my mit :smt058 ts on this cos it's got some gorgeous stuff in it ''Blue skinned gods' / 'wasn't I Joe' etc and I was just thinking, how would I go about finding out how to get this? And you post this thread... :smt058

I have a copy of this show on dvd under a different name...it is very well recorded and definately worth purchasing. I believe it was originally broadcast on Japanese TV. Sounds like a board recording and video is superb. A shame Sylvian seems to have been unhappy w this tour as I think it was brilliant. All of the Blemish tracks sound fleshed out and much broader than on the album...even the Derek Bailey tracks sound good! get it if you can!

Thanks for that Tin Bird - i will see if it's still available... I was thinking the same as you about the Blemish track sounding much more fleshed out...It sounds wonderful.

Yes, I think Sylvian is bit bonkers in that respect- he could make such a lot of money if he sold some good quality recordings of ll the live shows...strange he hasn't doesn't this...I've never seen him live so i'd definitely buy stuff. I do so hope he tours again at some point.

I got that DVD about a year ago from Tower Records in Ireland. It's a lovely product. According to Richard Chadwick it's unofficial. The company that have released the DVD didn't correctly secure the rights to the video so in effect it is illegal, even though it has been on sale through legitimate retailers in Europe. There is another pressing with a different cover (light blue background) which has the same contents, but not presented in such a nice way. See;
