What is your favourite song from Secrets of the Beehive??

From Brilliant Trees through Died In The Wool...

I have only been listening to the CD for the past couple of months...and not everyday :( (not by choice), so I don't have a favorite yet...Let the Happiness In is a beautiful song...Waterfront too.

For me the choice is between, Opheus, When Poets Dreamed Of Angels, Let The Happiness In, and Waterfront. And the winner is....Orpheus!

Yeah right, let's try.. um Orpheus. well but Maria is incredibly beautiful too. September was my "OhDavidILikeYourMusic" track.. Waterfront was my "OhDavidIAadoreYourMusicAndIAdoreYou" track.. so it's really hard to chose, you know.

I can't wait for Fall, so I can walk around the neighborhood while listening to this album...

After hearing the live version of Let the Happiness In from the '88 tour, (thanks to whoever posted that link), (which I had a ticket for but the show in Oxford was cancelled), as a song probably that at the moment, but not the recording. Love the way the song grows and becomes more positive. It becomes almost a prayer; heartfelt and deeeeeep.

Overall, Waterfront from SOTB. Love it muchly.

The whole album. That's how I listen to it. As one whole uninterrupted soundtrack. It's the one that broke my cherry on Sylvian's music. There isnt a weak track on it and I think that's why it's probably most fans' faves, I dont know. But if pressed for a tune I'd say Let the Happiness In and On the Waterfront. Sakamoto's arrangements are so incredible, especially his use of brass and strings.

Maria, with Waterfront and Let the Happiness in as runner-ups.

They'e all so great, but I can't even imagine anything more beautiful than "Waterfront". It's one of the rare songs that if it gets stuck in your head you hope it stays. :-)

When The Poets Dreamed Of Angels
Sublime... but the rest of the album's not bad either. The young man did quite a good job...
