Acoustic CD?

From Brilliant Trees through Died In The Wool...

Acoustic CD?

I would love to see David release an album of his own songs done acoustically. He obviously likes to perform like this or else he wouldnt have done the slow fire tour. Thoughts?

I would most defiinitely enjoy something along these lines myself. Heck he could sing the phone book while strumming happy birthday for all i care. I love listening to him play and sing.... I love nearly everything he produces. I am one of the few people who just couldn't deal with his work with Fripp... just to hard on the guitaring... it overpowered his vocals for me.

by the way... my favourite Sylvian/Fripp songs from the TFD sessions is Earthbound and Endgame, and both are so nice acoustic...

Probably very quickly by car to get this release!! :-D

Gotta throw Damage in there - even tho I can't really listen to it anymore- and Forbidden Colours. :)

Chet, totally agree with Earthbound.

If something like this were ever to happen it simply must include Silver Moon.

Everything you guys said, plus:

How Little We Need To Be Happy (not my favourite song, just think it would be really interesting and lend itself well to a completely different treatment)

Bearing in mind Sylvian's comments before the 'World Is Everything' Tour, I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon.

A top quality recrding of the Slowfire shows would go a long way to satiating the faithful though.

A quality recording of a Slowfire concert would be awesome. Id also like to see Blue skinned gods released as a single.

Hope these are of help, in the absence of any wished for CD. Releasable quality rather than bootleg quality:

Red Guitar (Acoustic)

http://rapidshare.com/files/121768527/R ... ustic_.wav

Brilliant Trees (Acoustic)

http://rapidshare.com/files/121841344/B ... ustic_.wav[/url]

Sorry they're huge WAV files rather than FLAC files, I'm having some Vista / FLAC issues at the moment! If anyone wants some smaller mp3 files just let me know. Red Guitar has some hopefully hard to notice editing to replace a missing bit, but they're both lovely recordings! Enjoy!
