Weird - but good news for latecomers.

The deluxe edition was definitely listed as 'out of stock' earlier today but - as you say - is now available again.

Indeed it was.

Fiona Talkington (BBC Radio 3 - Late Junction) tweeted that she'd played some Uncommon Deities material this afternoon. Did anyone got to hear it? Can't find it on iPlayer yet...

Deluxe edition has now sold out - hopefully not just to ebay scalpers!

I must have just managed to get a copy then, which I am very happy about [a bit late to this party]... and I totally agree about "Ebay scalpers" which really p***es me off. I have to battle the same thing with certain artists catalogues I collect, that get snapped-up and then put on Ebay for crazy sums... I have only given in once, with a book I really wanted; I felt dirty and resentful though.

I cannot wait to get this, and hope it doesn't take as long as someone predicted to arrive in the UK... the samples sound stunning, though I agree with those saying David's delivery is rather stilted... Long may he continue to work in this more experimental vein, rather than return to the more 'pop' formulae of old.

I also hope Samhadi keep this to a strict 'limited edition' unlike Manafon, where they put out more copies after the first batch sold out so quickly... if you're paying extra for something exclusive, then it needs to remain so, rather than cashing in on demand... even if it does entice the "scalpers"...

It's back in stock. :p

I think they may have issues with the store... perhaps it only processes so many sales of a single item?

Regardless, the Manafon vinyl took til a few months ago to sell out... that may have had 200 more copies pressed, but I think Manafon even for a modern DS release had/has more press and more widespread appeal than Uncommon Deities would... no offense to it. I don't think it's gonna sell out THIS fast. Frankly, if it were the work of eBay scalpers, wouldn't they already have trumped-up 'preorders' listed?

EDIT: About 12 hours later, and it's gone again. Hm.

I have it! The packaging is beautiful (missed out on the book). I hadn't heard any of this material yet, so each track is a little world, a fable. I have friends who might see something like this as a doorway into David's work and I'm pretty excited about that.

Just got this email. Sort of pissed off as I pre-ordered immediately.

I got the email too. No problem for me (*laughs ironically*). I'm used to receiving Samadhisound products at least 1 month later than release date. Guess it'll be 2 months later this time.
