It's a good sign. I want DS to be happy and not just lonely everyday.

It is absolutely devastating that he died and makes you realize we haven't got much life left after 40. He wasn't even a long-lived japanese person. He should have had a decade or more...

His work with DS in the early 1980s will always be the greatest of all time and funkiest too.

As a musician myself it was the first album I'd heard that didn't have beefed up beats but still attracted me. His voice over the synth drones was totally unique 20 years ago when it came out. Perhaps you're used to more 'danceable' styles of music (which is absolutely fine btw)

The first 'real' song I've heard from him since Beautiful Country however many years ago.

It was a great interview. I almost had a small stroke when I heard his voice. This is the most active he's been in a decade. It was a little weird to hear him talk about Japan as he's spent the last 20 or so years denouncing it.

I love him and am frustrated because I want new ultra-minimal music. If you're really finished with DS then why even bother logging back in this community? As long as David is still alive and has an online presence I will always be expecting new music.

I had to listen to and wear out everything ELSE by David Sylvian before I could even warm up to Dead Bees...

He's just released a greatest hits collection, Infact that makes three albums in the last 3+ years, which is more work than he ever put in before.

Just imagine being a DS fan in the 1990s when you might wait 3+ YEARS before anything substantial would surface in your random issue of the Wire! I know ...

Wow, Joan Wasser dated the late great Jeff Buckley, whose records came to define my teenage years, and now shes working with DS who takes up most of my listening time as an adult...this whole world is so small really, it just looks big.
