It seems David Byrne (Talking Heads) is a 'bit' of a Sylvian fan...in a round-about, back-handed compliment sort of way.... This is from the "radio" section of his website, where he puts a monthly radio playlist together.

I am not convinced by the re-interpretations of the Manafon tracks either. As with many of the Blemish remixes, these versions are a little too respectful of the originals, which make me think “why bother...?”
