King Crimson is one of the few 70s band that still have something to say today. The Power to Believe is a beautiful wall of guitars - but also a collection of great compositions.

The First Day album is a brilliant all the way through. big power sound except for tracks 'bringing down the light' and 'jean the birdman' , ( contemplative calm breaks between the album). Drake, i suggest you have a listen to 'god man', esp 'pollen path' and the second half of 'all of my mothers ...

Well, I guess you are right about Marotta's drums (I really prefer them to Mastelotto's live versions - they def have a "bigger" sound). What I really was referring to is the big wall of sound contrasting to the sound of for instance Beehive.

I think it's wonderful to hear his voice surrounded by distorted guitars and big drums. I am also a fan of the distorsion effects on the vocals. Jean the Birdman is weak, yes, and Brightness Falls, too. But the rest...heavy!!!! And Darshan is vey much hypnotic, indeed!
